City of Chicago
Resting along this beautiful Lake
of Michigan is the equally beautiful
City of Chicago. The largest and
third most populous city in the
United States, it houses over 2.8
million people distributed into its
four main sections, namely: the
North Side, the West Side, the South
Side and Downtown. Downtown, as with
all places called downtown, is where
the city action is. This is where
what they call “The Loop” is
located, where all the cultural,
commercial and financial
institutions thrive. Most of the
residential areas on the other hand
are at the North, South and West
Side.
The City of Chicago is home to rich
cultural and ecological treasures
such as art galleries, parades, and
beautiful public parks. Up at the
River North neighborhood, right
outside of Manhattan, you will find
lots of modern art galleries.
Meanwhile, you can watch the Bud
Billiken Day parade march down the
South Side. Adding to the city’s
cultural charms are the National
Museum of Mexican Art and the Puerto
Rican Day festival. Jackson Park and
Washington Park are also found in
this beautiful city. On the West
Side, you will find vast arrays of
tropical plant collection at the
Garfield Park Conservatory.
